Uncheck the box it should be readed quite oppisite..
Hmm, not quite sure I understand you there bbobb.
Allow Topics With Same Name:
Duplicate topic names are allowed to:Has a drop down box where you can choose between;
Forbidden,
Registered Users or
All UsersThere is another setting under this one in the permission tab in the Host Settings with a checkbox named:
Allow Forums With Same Name:
If checked forums with duplicated names can be created.Checked,
Not Checked.
If I have understood it correctly the first is supposed to be The Topic / Thread names. So you allow Registered Users or All Users to make Topics having the exact same name. No matter what this setting is, you will get the message; "A topic with the subject already exists or the subject is not unique enough to be added."
I have also tried to uncheck and check the
Allow Forums With Same Name: without luck. But this one is if you define more than one forum with the same name, and not topic right? My issue is with the Topics / Threads.
Basically I have tried all combinations of the above without any of them allowing me to create two topics with the same name.
The setting is obviously saved in the database because it is read back to the setting I last saved. But it is not in effect.
