I'm not a web developer, a webmaster, or anything close -- I'm a total beginner. I managed to get YAF installed (GoDaddy hosting), but I can't figure out how to change the top logo to my own jpg.

What I don't know: How to get access to the code to change the image. I know just about enough html to do that, but how do I get in there?

Any help someone could give someone who knows absolutely nothing about handling things at this level would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

for those that dont know they can right click on the logo view its source and overwrite the image. Thats the easiest way.

Hi I am new to the system, When I right click the logo I get the typical stuff that pops up when you right click on things. How else can I change this logo over to my own?

Here's another way to accomplish it.

Modify your default.aspx

You'll see something like;

Change it to something like;

You'll notice you can just change the ID from imgBanner to anything else, causing the ID to no longer be associated with the forum.banner property, thus breaking the forum, letting you do whatever you want.

G'Luck.

This is my first time doing anything.What I'm seeing all look like partial urls. I don't know what if anything goes in front of them.I went to my CP at my host site to try and upload my logo that way but couldn't find a way to modify the url provided and send it to the milkyway template images folder. It points straight at the regular Media manager folders. I recognised the 'names' of the other files already in there.

I fully understand that I was uploading to the wrong folder, but can't figure out how to get to the template folders.
