I have the job of implementing a single site login thing too, using libcurl's .NET bindings. I have been testing this with curl command line client but I haven't been successful logging in yet.
Is there any documentation anywhere of POST and cookie data to pass to YAF to achieve a login?

I have tried loading the SLN file and under VS 2003 and 2005 and it won't load in either.

I can't find the old posts on here about this so I'll start one new here.
I have been told to find a BBS/Forum C# .NET thing to put on our site, I have no budget.
One thing is that we don't want to make users log in a 2nd time, reading up on this single site formsauthetication stuff it seems difficult and the answers I got here before didn't help much as well. My boss is convinced we can just "shove the username and password down YAF's throat" and the user will be authenticated. I can't even figure out where to do that but besides this won't the cookie it sends back go to our server and not the client? Even if we capture then redirect the cookie data to our user will it be invalid because the IP is different?

so when will this new build be issued? I have a project I have to use YAF in and it'll be customized in such a way I bet it'll be very hard/impossible to upgrade once it's in.

can you give code examples? I fumbled around a bit and made a webservice as well but it's not acting how I thought it should. How does it set cookies in our client for example ...

oh well, I was evaluating this for a large site but the lack of response, indepth documentation and probable issues with scalability have ruled this one out. Seems fine for a small site with a single forum and is easy to get running at least.

yeah some deal with me.

problems connecting to the DB it seems, but it goes away quickly.

I am not sure if yaf can do this but I was asked to set up a forum where registered users can create new Categories but not change existing Categories (except ones they own/have admin rights too). Can this be done? or would I have to set up a new "group" for each category?
also unrelated where can I access a "board" after I have created* it in Admin pages? I show 3 boards now in Admin no idea how to access them ...
