I just installed v1.9.1.8 on a godaddy server, but I can't login to the message board? I just keep getting the error:

You tried to enter a area where you didn't have access.

You ran the install and setup admin name and password but
won't let you sign in?
can you register as a new user?

No, when I try to register a new user, it does the same thing.

It sends me to this url both times...

/forum/default.aspx?g=info&i=4

Everything went fine during the setup, except there was a problem running the fulltext.sql script. Everything else seemed to run fine.

Question... I installed this on a site/database that already a custom built site in it, along with the aspnet_Membership, aspnet_Roles..etc tables generated by Visual Web Developer. Could the fact that these tables already existed be causing conflicts, preventing the forum admin from logging into the forum or new users from being able to create forum accounts?

v1.9.1.8 doesn't use membership -- so there will be no table conflict with aspnet_ tables.

I don't think you have your forums setup with proper permission. Your new users don't have rights to view any forums. Please double-check your access masks that there is at least "Read" allowed for your forums for your Member group.

Thanks for the response, but I'm not sure how to do that.
