Hi, I have a very strange error getting logged every time a page (any page) is open in the forum. It looks like the app is trying to send an email to an invalid address every time anyone clicks anything in the forum.
The error is: System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: sorry, your mail was administratively denied. (#5.7.1) at System.Net.Mail.MailCommand.CheckResponse(SmtpStatusCode statusCode, String response) at System.Net.Mail.MailCommand.Send(SmtpConnection conn, Byte[] command, String from) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.SendMail(MailAddress sender, MailAddressCollection recipients, String deliveryNotify, SmtpFailedRecipientException& exception) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message) at yaf.pages.ForumPage.SendMailThread()
YAF Version: 1.9.1.7, host godaddy.
Thank you very much in advance.

The mail you have set in the smtp.config file is either wrong, or does not have relay authorisation. Talk to your e-mail provider. .....the man in black fled across the desert..........and the gunslinger followed.....

Just noticed same thing on my site last night. I was using a gmail account and was throwing the error. re-set up a godaddy email account and is working fine know. just reset the email in host settings to one from my domain and everything was back to normal. HTH

Thanks very much. It was the gmal issue, someting must have changed on the godaddy side. I now use a different email account, and everything seems ok. However, I am still puzzled as to why this would happen on opening every page . Cheers
