I only want the forum posts/threads visible to users who are registered and logged in. How do I do this?

The quickest way to do ti is to deny Read Access to read only access mask; that way the guest user will see nothing. ... But trust me on the sunscreen!

What I tried doing was to set everything to False against the Read Only Access Mask (under Access Masks) but the guest user can still see things.

That way Guest should be able to see only forums and categories; not threads nor posts. If you want to hide that too, tick "Hide if no access" Admin > forums ... But trust me on the sunscreen!
