I am little confused with Source code licensing..I am sure people who already have YAF in their sites may have gone through it.

Here is my question.

What exactly modifying the YAF source means.

I got the Binary package but there are lot of .ascx files (under "pages" directory) for example, search.ascx

I am planning to modify it so that I can add more search options related to my site. Is this modification same as YAF source editing?

DO I have to keep the source code downloadable on my site anywhere (Not that I don't want to, but I am want to make sure I don't end up violating any term inadvertently)

Can anyone? Rolling Eyes

When doing modifications, yes, you are supposed to offer the changes back to the community. If you do not want to do that immediately, that's okay. Really, this is more about integrity and community than laws and requirements.

So keep that in mind.

Thanks Jaben.

If I make changes to search.ascx, I will for sure put a copy of source available for download on my site at the least. As I have not setup to commit changes to source tree here.
