Hello,
I just downloaded the RC2 (the source src) from the announcement page, but out of the box, i can't get it to compile.
i have visual studio 2008 sp1 on windows xp. Once the solution file opened and the project converted to vs 2008,
when i run the build, it looks like it can't find YAF.Controls. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks!

I wrote up the instructions I follow to do it here, it should help:

If you've never done it before, it could take an hour or two. But it's well-worth it.

Thank you very much. I will use the information on your website to try to get it to work.

As a side question: i was using the 1.9.2 version but was thinking about switching to 1.9.3 so that i could integrate the users that are already defined with my website Membership information. i was wondering if you think that the RC2 is stable enough to be used in a production environment.

Thank you for your help!

I haven't stress tested it myself, but the fact that we're using 1.9.3RC2 on the official YAF forum gives me confidence that it's stable enough for production. Unless a final version comes out soon, I'll be rolling 1.9.3RC2 to production this month.

I'm also using RC2 on production sites. It's really rather stable. I think I'll release final here very soon.
