In your message editor, there is a row at the top labeled "Priority" with a Dropdown in it.

The second option is "Sticky"

DJ...I've trying to find the Priority button. Even tho, I'm Admin...I can't find that button or option on a new first message or upon editing the first message. It appears that I'm not the only one having this problem...according to reading the forum here. Also...When I get that fixed...with your help Smile... How do I 'move' a post from one forum to another.

Thanks for your time.
Thanks

Earl

You must be logged in as an administrator. Then edit the first post in the topic, and pull down the priority drop-down box and choose Sticky.

Thanks for any any here Smile
I'm using Yet Another Forum.net version 1.9.1.2 ...hosted on Go-daddy. I am the administrator. I created another account and set it as system administrator. Gave him all the rights in all the places I can find. I simply do not find any buttons that have a drop down menu of any sorts. Only buttons I see are the "Preview" "Post" and "Cancel", much like the 3 buttons at the bottom here... when I post the original post. After it is posted, and I click "edit", I'm still presented with the same choices. I also need help in being able to Move a post to another forum.

I figure something...somewhere is not set...or set wrong or ??
Have I just missed a config file anywhere or something in the setting up?

I thank you in advance for any time spent helping here.

Unless things are different in 1.9.1.2 the Priority DropDown is located at the top of the post underneath the subject.

Earl, Sorry you're having trouble with this. Here is exactly what I do to set an existing post to a Sticky:

1. Log in as an admin.
2. Go to the forum with the message in it.
3. Open the message.
4. Click Edit on the originating message.
5. Look for this dropdown and set it from Normal to Sticky.

On my screen, there isn't a drop down button. Even after doing the steps just as you said here...there just is not a button. Sad

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
