Hi guys,

I just setup my categories and forums and tried to click on the "New Topic" button to enter some test posts and I'm redirected to the default forum page. I've tried logging out and back in with the same symptom. No errors...just a redirect. Any thoughts?

Who are you logged in as? (Admin/member/etc)

Try enabling/disabling some settings in Host Settings. Check your editor settings. Check your forum mask.

Let me know.

Thanks for helping beta v1.9.3.

Logged in as admin

Played with Host Settings to no avail...everything looks okay there.

Editor was TinyMCE - switched to Text editor...still no go.

Access Masks:
Check the "Is Admin" and "Is Moderator" checkbox databinding under Roles - I think they're backwards. If I check "Is Admin" and click save...it shows IsAdmin=False and IsModerator=True...and vice versa if I check IsModerator.

Turned on "IsAdmin" and "Is Moderator" for the admin role - still no go.

No prob testing it...love to help. Smile

i have the same Problem in YAF 1.9.3.3 alpha

i have installed it and have created some categories and topics, all works fine.

Then i wanted to build the real forum-structure, so i deleted all Forums and Categories.
Then i have cerated new categories and forums.

Now i want to create a new Tpoic and the forum redirects me to the startpage....

Some ideas?

What do you mean with:

That he fixed it.
When I post FP:Ederon in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting.

I had this problem too, it is a cache issue.

After you create a new forum, it does not fully reset the forum cache creating some kind of linking problem. If after you create a forum, and click Host Setting, and Click Cache, and click, Clear All, the problem goes away and you can post topics.
