I'm using my own navigation for the site since it's incorporated with BE.NEt.
I can't seem to set the SimpleRender property to True.
No matter where or how I set it, it's false when it runs. Any sugestions?

I think this is an application wide setting, you should be able to set it in web.config. Try setting it through IIS, this has a "better effect", not sure why. .....the man in black fled across the desert..........and the gunslinger followed.....

I'd rather do it in Web.config if it can be.

Sorry...my bad...thinking of the RenderWithVisualStyles property check. You check this property to determine if you can apply themeing based on the users machine/browser. .....the man in black fled across the desert..........and the gunslinger followed.....
