ApplicationName and Active Directory membership provider

I am getting this error: The Active Directory membership provider does not support setting of the ApplicationName property.
Has this been fixed? I noticed someone else had a problem with this in a previous post.
Also, how do you set the person who is the admin when using AD membership?
