Well...just when I thought Don was becoming "the" Jedi... Halfway through step 10 he should have realised....only a select few can truly....use the force!! At step 10.1 I quit and started my own business!!!! So I now run a 4 step program... 1. Wake up 2. Walk the 4 feet from bed to office 3. Work 18 hours 4. Walk back 4 feet and resume coma state! The learning curve is never as steep as when your doing it all by yourself! First...I didn't "register" for your site. Had I, seeing only 1 theme in the profile section (knowing YAF comes with 6!) I would have gasped "WTF!". While you, the designer, may think "this is so cool" (and it is BTW!) most "users" have the inteligence of squashed ants! Knowing this, give them the "boring defaults". I left CAMO, FLAT EARTH, and a couple other themes available for my user-base. Not that these are boring (please don't kill me Jaben!), but users seem to accept the boring more easily. Second...FONT SIZE!! Don't even go there! Some people couldn't see Bush invade Iraq, how are they gonna see 12 pixel fonts (1em) on a screen!!!! My solution, teach them to use the SCROLL WHEEL!!!! Hold <CTRL> and move the wheel, PRESTO! BIGGER FONT! Took me 2 seconds to write a "How to.." and saved me re-coding everything! Third...try to get your "job" to use YAF! Will be the perfect place to fine-tune your "personnal" site! I use YAF for software acceptance testing! Works a treat! D...or Fourth...well either way....glass of wine calling... Later .....the man in black fled across the desert..........and the gunslinger followed.....

Later Hey that's a good idea about the ctrl scroll = font BIGGER, I should tell people that, that r always complaing about the font size. I should make a dozen steps. 1) find the ctrl key 2) There are 2 so don't be confused 3) Press either control keys but not both 4) find the scroller located on your mouse 5) while holding a control key, 6) move the scroller 7) scroll it toward you to make the font smaller scroll it away from you to make it bigger. 9) Then let go of the scroller and ctrl key 10) if u r still confused try again 11) Still confused???? 12) you don't need to be on a computer This would be called Making the font bigger for dummies in a dozen steps LOL ZachWe have nothing to fear, but fear itself - FDR

I tried publishing EXACTLY those steps to my users and almost got fired!!! Now I run my own business, and have published them directly to the applications!!! Working 18 hours is pretty standard for me, it's a shame it's never the SAME 18 in a day!! I'm no good unless I have 9 hours of sleep (10 if it's raining!). Result? My work day "moves" around teh clock. Really makes the wife (and clients) mader than hell!! .....the man in black fled across the desert..........and the gunslinger followed.....

FYI: about the shoutbox: I was using a shoutbox to chat with my friends, but it only lets you put 60 posts per hour, unless u buy it. So I found a different one and it works great, but I don't know how it would work on a forum, here is the shoutbox, http://www.freeshoutbox.net/Just though u might want to know that.
