So the folks at elsasoft.org have graciously donated the use of their SQL Server Database Dictionary building tool, SqlSpec, for us to use with YAF. I've generated a data dictionary using SQL Server 2005 (below) that you can download and use without a license whatsoever. I'll update this post with links to the most recent builds as we perform them.

I've hosted the file at my site, LearnSqlServer.com, my SQL 2005 tutorial site, for fast downloading and to keep some bandwidth off the main site.

* Download the 1.90 Database Documentation here

Thanks much to Jesse over at elsasoft.org for giving us this great documentation tool! Make sure you drop by and check out their tools as a "Thanks!" Go there now
Check out my implementation of YAF: http://Forums.LearnSqlServer.com/. You can also check out my SQL Server 2005 tutorials at http://www.LearnSqlServer.com/ and my C# tutorials at http://www.LearnCSharp.com/

When I post FP:Ederon in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting.

Just to follow up on this, I just released a new version of SqlSpec that has a contents tree you can navigate in HTML. Here's a sample:

http://www.elsasoft.org/...orks/AdventureWorks.htm

details on the release here:

http://www.elsasoft.org/.../topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=183

sorry I am not using YAF for my forum - Embarassed - I didn't know about YAF when I set it up ages ago!

Shame on you Wink

Thanks for the info.

When I post FP:Mek in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Ederon Smile )
