Issue

One is that when a user "quotes" anything there is no

Quote:

BOX OR ANYTHING SEPARATING IT LIKE THIS

Instead it just looks like this with no text box

Issue 2

I modified my forum width to read 900 PX width. But Soon as a A-hole comes along and post giant pictures it spread over past my Vertical Rules I have in place for looks.

is there a way to auto fix attached images? And auto fix posted images in general so they show only a certain size?

I thought 1 is just pure css, possibly your theme is missing the entries??

Second; yup we all have that problem. Someone did post an addon/hack for YAF to limit this. Will post back when i find it.

"It's a case of RTFM.. the only problem being we don't have a manual!"

When I post FP:Mek in a topic, I'm leaving my footprint there so I can track it once I get into coding/supporting. (Yes I stole this off Ederon 🙂 )

I believe TommyB has an add-on for what you need.

http://forum.yetanotherforum.ne...ll-sized-images-193.aspx

You do need version 1.9.3 Final though to use it.

Where can I find this "css issue" I want to completely re-upload the file its associated to on my server.

What file controls the css "quote tags" Box thingy. (You know the box that separates the text when you quote someone)

Look in your yafpro theme.css

find

/* used for quoting messages */
.quote {
padding-left: 16px;
margin: 5px;
}

.innerquote
{
padding: 4px;
background-color: #fefefe;
border: 1px dashed #808080;
}

check out how to change to your liking http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_border.asp

I looked at the source on your page.. your quoteboxes have cla$= instead of class= for both the outer quote box and the innerquote box.

cla$= isn't a valid html attribute for a css class declaration.

The question now is, why is your code converting a quote block into div cla$="quote" rather than div class="quote". Did you go fiddling around in the code?

I am co-moderator on a YAF-based forum, and we have the same problem: the box around the quotes is missing.

The forum owner apparently found a setting to remove the box, and made the change some time ago. But now users want the quote-box restored and he can't find the setting to turn the boxes back on. I don't have access to the code (I'm not a coder anyway so not sure what I'd look for) but I did look at the forum homepage source, and the word "class" shows up just fine, there are no instances of "cla$".

Any other suggestions for restoring the quote-boxes?
