I'm trying to install YAF DNN module. I follow the pre-install instructions to the letter. I modified the 3 entries in the web.config file.

  • <add key="YAF.ConfigPassword" value="pass" />
  • <add key="YAF.DatabaseObjectQualifier" value="dnn_yaf_" />
  • <add key="YAF.BaseUrlMask" value="http://www.quality-asp.com/" />

In the install process I could connect to the database and send a test e-mail.

The install process crashed. Please see the screenshot. This website is a azure website with a 1TB azure SQL database

Is there a work around solution on this bug? I have another SQL Server that not azure but a MSSQL 2012 Server.

How do you create a cluster index?

This is not a bug. YAF doesn't support Azure out of the box.
Look here and use forum search too. YAF has Azure users.

So that post basically saying create the CMS using an MS SQL 2012 database , Add all the modules and then upgrade the database to azure database. Well that sucks. I just wasted $10.00 a month on that azure db
