First I set the file size to 8 MB, when it failed I increased to 10,240,000. It failed again on a 7.5 MB size PDF file. Same latest version of the forum publoshed on 3/3/2011. is it really a server problem or forum problem? I set the files to be uploaded to a subdirectory, not to the database. And it's not the first file that I posted.

That is a web.config issue.

<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="28192" executionTimeout="6000" requestLengthDiskThreshold="18192" />

Above is a sample httpRuntime key from a web.config. Changing the maxRequestLength value (in kilobytes) to your desired size will help. YAF will apply a limit anything under what your web.config value is, but it cannot exceed it -- so if web.config value is less than YAF limit, you will experience this error.
If you can't find it using the forum search, try my signature link -- searches this site using Google: Google is my Friend

That really helped, thanks a lot! I set the Web.Config limit to 20480 and then opened the limit in the forum to 10240 and it worked right away!
